In recent years, with the awareness of building protection improvement and the reform practice, the transformation of old industrial buildingshave become an important part of the protection and reuse in practice,especially the transformation of old industrial building, has become atrend, a miracle.Along with the large-scale city construction, many city both at home and abroad have already become a considerable scale, but many problems also appear:such as a large number of idle old buildings, old equipment etc.. Therefore, only the construction is not enough, so people focus onthe renewal of the city, that is how to deal with a lot of ordinary oldbuildings, is the demolition or reused. In today’s social situation, we should be thinking about the future of the old building from the overall perspective of natural resources and social resources. Tear down the re construction practice, is a completely negative attitude; but if we take thestrategy and positive attitude, to create conditions for the transformationof suitable and means, conversion, realize the function of internal space transformation, the external shape design, make its transformation from the original decline, abandoned or unused negative conditions for activestate, that they are likely to become a bright spot in the city again, to play its characteristics.In Fangzi coal mining area construction as the research object, based on the field research, using multidisciplinary methods consistent, tries to make a breakthrough and innovation in Fangzi coal mine area building protection, renovation and reuse research. Draw on the results of related research, proposed the protection, transformation of the coal mining areas of Fangzi building reuse strategy. The thesis consists of five chapters, as follows:The first chapter introduces the purpose and significance of the research topic, and the research methods and framework, the development of the old industrial buildings protection, summarizes the reconstruction and reuse. To investigate the necessity of policy development and protectionof old industrial buildings in China, based on the current research status,problems and gap analysis of domestic.The second chapter mainly discusses the necessity of policydevelopment and the protection of old industrial buildings in China.The third chapter sums up and analyses the formation and development of Fangzi and Fangzi coal mining area, deeply analyzing the influencing factors of Fangzi Coal Mine Development Zone building, refined coal mine area of Fangzi architectural features and personality. The premise for investigation and data collected in the author, introduces the background, the historical evolution of Fangzi coal mining area, through the analysis of the current situation, the existing Fangzi coal mine at present all aspects of the problem, put forward the necessity ofprotection, reconstruction and its reuse.Fourth, the five chapter is the key part of the paper, the results of the first few chapters of the specific application of reuse in protection, and transformation of Fangzi coal mining area of the building. Referring to the domestic and foreign some successful examples of transformation oftransformation, taking Fangzi mining area construction as the research object, combined with Fangzi mining area landform, building distribution around, greening, structure and environment on the performance of the existing building style, evaluation, discusses its importance as theindustrial heritage, and puts forward a transformation strategy environment, function, technology, culture etc..
