Research On The Life Cycle Costing Management Of Engineering Project

With the rapid development of economic in recent years, the scale of fixed assetsinvestment grows quickly. Good construction project cost management plays a vitallyimportant role in improving the efficiency and saving the total amount of investment.It also helps to improve the overall social and economic benefits. The defects intheory and method of engineering cost management are, in a sense, the root of manyconstruction management problems. As a result, we should do innovative study onengineering cost, establish a scientific and standard management system andoperating mechanism in constructional industry in order to manage and control theengineering cost effectively and reasonably.In this thesis, based on the analysis of existing literatures about cost management,the author discovers problems in cost control, which are the focus and starting pointof studying, segments the engineering construction project into five phases, and thenexplains the key point of control in each phase. The author also elaborates thecomposition of the Whole life cycle cost on the basis of segmentation.The author identifies by analysis, clarifies the main problems in cost control in eachphase and the importance of this thesis, and then suggests corresponding methods.Therefore minimizing the cost of engineering construction project can be achieved.
