Research On Application Of EPC General Contracting Model In Petroleum Engineering Project

Various ways are used in the management of project organization in construction.The owner of petroleum and petrochemical project tends to choose a main contractorto take the processes of design, procurement and construction (namyly EPC) becauseof the technology intensive distribute of the projects, and this method gradually isadopted by the market and has become one of the most important dan widely usedmethod in the implementation of construction project.An investigating the historical development, the current status, and theapplication of the project contracting market in domestic and overseas is done in thisthesis, and an analysis of the features and connotation of EPC and PMC generalcontract method. in order to solve the challenges and pratical problems faced in theproject general contracting enterprises, cuntermeasures and suggentions for furtherdevelopment of the EPC petroleum projects are raised from the perspective ofnational, industrial and enterprise level, and some key points in the management andimplementation are also raised. the thesis focuses mainly on the EPC general contractmethod, the petroleum engineering projects using the "PMT+PMC+EPC" method areexplained, and the significance of method is also analyzed. with the analysis of theexamples of "the project of crude oil in the west","the pipeline project of the productoil ","a commercial storage project of crude oil " and two other large pipelineengineering projects using the method of "PMT+PMC+EPC", the characteristics ofthe project management and the features of the management system are explained,based on what, the ways to improve and ameliorate the method are fined. at the sametime,the new challenges are put forward under the method of EPC general contractthrough analyzing the examples.
