Research On The Cost Control Of EPC General Contract Project Of Company B

In the engineering project, the progress, quality and cost of the project are the key factors for enterprise competition. In the project competition, the enterprise in addition to the project quality to win credibility, the cost and time limit for a project is the key to competition. It is to say that within the prescribed time limit, at a lower cost to owner consign to meet the requirements of the contract engineering projects. So, it is no doubt that the enterprise will win in the competition for controlling and reducing the cost.In this paper the implementation of EPC projects completed in recent years with B company were analyzed and summarized. The article does the research of the whole process cost control in different periods of EPC project's designing, purchasing and constructing. During the designing period, research the EPC project cost control by limit designing, the superior methods compared, the design change controlled and the drawing audited. During the purchasing period, through a sound system of project procurement, designing reasonable purchase price index, determining the qualified supplier list and reducing cost in the procurement contract execution of the project to control the EPC project's cost. During the constructing period, by strengthening the construction organization design review, strengthening the management of changing visa, choosing a good reasonably priced credit construction subcontractor, doing a good job of settlement to study the EPC project's cost control. Meanwhile combine the Value Engineering and Earned value method with the research and analysis in the practice to get the conclusion of EPC project model receiving the great effect in the practice engineering. It can supply a helpful reference for the further EPC project cost management.
