This research firstly introduced the characteristics and development of the conventional“Five Preventions” technology, building on which the principle behind the conventional “Fivepreventions” interlock will be thoroughly summarized and compared to others. Afterwards, ananalysis on the key technology of the online “Five Preventions” system from the perspectivesof control circuit and interlocking schemes will follow.This research puts its emphasis on the problems aroused during the reform upon theonline “Five Preventions” system of the110kV Lanpu Substation and offers concretesolutions and measures. Concurrently, this research will advise to transform the protectiverelaying and automatic equipment based on the outstanding internet resources of the online“Five Preventions” system, which will contribute to the safety and reliability of the operationof transformation substations.Finally, this research will formulate the concrete acceptance standard based on thetechnical characteristics and the problems of the online “Five Preventions” system. In addition,the design of a series of tables based on the data collection and analysis over the operation ofsubstations, as well as the formation of the tabular application assessment model, offers helpto assess directly and feasibly the transformation effects, which provides valuable experienceto the transformation of the old substations and the construction of the new ones.
