BIM Application In The Construction Project Life Cycle

The development of BIM (Building Information Modeling)in the constructionindustry are at Preliminary stage in China, and its appearance has dramaticallyimproved level of management of Large-scale construction and have been graduallyimplemented by increasing number of enterprises as the portion of the Large-scaleconstruction project are mounting in recent decades.Autodesk hold the construction and planning design Contest jointly with ChinaConstruction Association in April,2009that lead the implementation of BIM intonational vital project, giving more opportunity to companies learning more about it,taking the architectural design of al Aquatics Center selected in2008Beijing gameand Group digital visual management system used in Shanghai World Expo as theexamples. Also, for enhancing the level of science and technology andcore-competitiveness, the commercial real estate professional committee issued thereport on Application of BIM in commercial real estate in China in2010, aiming atguiding and follow-up the application and development of BIM technology in thefield of commercial real, which proves that this technology is attracting moreattention as the time goingThe present dissertation has gave a brief introduction to BIM, relating to issuesof production and management met in different stages of the whole life cycle. For thecase study, CDD Jia Yue square are used, the issues are highlighted when the projectwas being developed form early planning to management control, its all about apipeline management, which is exactly the advantage of BIM.
