BIM(Building Information Modeling)produced and brought a new revolution for the construction industry. At present, domestic scholars for the theoretical study of BIM is relatively common, but this study one-sided, not from a whole, but will focus on a certain stage of independent project,this research makes it difficult to play the full value of BIM. In addition, the BIM study in our country are more concentrated in the part of theory and software development, applied in the project practice in this field, compared with western developed countries still need to improve.In this context, this thesis describes the current situation of the development and research situation at home and abroad BIM technology. A systematic overview of the concepts and features of BIM and the software system, comparison and analysis of the related software of BIM system function.At the same time,in-depth analysis of the concept of whole life cycle of construction background,connotation and advantage. Discusses the concrete application of BIM in the construction of the entire life cycle of project management, from the planning stage, design stage,implementation of the specific application of pinch off and operation and maintenance phase of the study of BIM,and compared the advantages of BIM application and the traditional mode.Finally, through the actual project, analyzes the application of BIM technology in the construction of the full life cycle of advantages,namely to improve the correct rate of decision,design intent feasibility, construction simulation,collision checking etc.It greatly improved the efficiency of the whole process of construction project,bring greater benefit for the construction industry.Through the analysis,concluded that the application of BIM technology in the full life cycle of advantage.Hope that through the development of the concept and popularized in the domestic construction industry,so as to improve project management efficiency,the construction industry to provide better service for thenational economic development.
