Assessing the risk of offshore oil and gas development platform is getting more and more attention at home and abroad, along with the development of offshore oil and gas fields. The risk factors can lead to leakage, combustion, explosion and other accidents of offshore oil and gas development platform. So it can not only threaten the life, but also threaten safety of personnel. Therefore, we must to establish an effective platform management mechanism in order to ensure its safe operation. It’s also an essential part of the platform management in order to establish an efficient and reasonable risk assessment system.Risk factors are identified on the offshore oil and gas development platform. The risk factors are divided into personnel, management, platform itself component and environmental risk. In addition, material and process equipment risk factors are briefly introduced to flay the foundation for the risk assessment and accident analysis. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for the identified risk factors is established to establish the risk assessment of the offshore oil and gas development platform. The evaluation set and factor set are established. The hierarchy process(AHP) analysis method is used to determine the weight of each index. Furthermore, the level, second level fuzzy comprehensive operation are also established. The risk accidents are brief analyzed that are caused by the risk factors. To analyze the fire accident, the fire related parameter model and thermal radiation flux calculation methods are established. Then including the radiation damage criteria and calculating the damage for personnel, equipment. Combined with the case to verify the model, for example, to a platform asan example, The AHP fuzzy comprehensive evaluation models of the risk assessment are used to determine the set of the evaluation, which can provide the basis for the specific risk prevention and control measures in the future. To a specific pool fire as an example, the relationship is analyzed between the propagation law of radiation heat flux and the closer distances from the center of the liquid pool, which can provide strong guidance to reduce casualties and property losses and have practical significance to the safe operation of offshore oil and gas platforms and pipelines. There are some stability problems to a certain extent of the models because of the limited level. So how to deepen the models will become the key in the future.
