The National Tourism Administration has declared that employees’values in tourism enterprises should be defined as a research in the project list in January,2013. Thus it can be seen,in the study of contemporary tourism, employees’values in tourism enterprises is worthy of more attention. In addition, present studies show that domestic research on influence factors of hotel employees engagement is relatively insufficient. At the same time,the research on the hotel values are mostly limited to hotel enterprise culture, the employees’values management is insufficient which has restricted the competitiveness of hotel human resources. Therefore, this paper selects the grass-roots staff of high-star level hotels as the research object to carry on the empirical investigation.This study is based on some classical theoretical and practical research at home and abroad. On the part of empirical research, firstly, through factor analysis, the employee engagement can be divided into two dimensions, namely positive engagement and attitude engagement and four dimensions which influence employee engagement, namely work content and nature, salary and welfare, workload and power, enterprise culture. Secondly, through mean analysis, influence factors can be differed from personal characteristics. Finally, through correlation analysis, it turns out that the four dimensions and employee engagement have significant and positive correlation.It can be concluded that the main factors which affect the grass-roots staff engagement in the high-star level hotels are the four dimensions above. Combining with theoretical and empirical study, countermeasures for the improvement of employee engagement can be put forward accordingly. Firstly, establish reasonable work content and clear work nature. Secondly, design fair compensation system and perfect welfare system. Thirdly, help the staff to allocate workload and offer proper authorization. Finally, form a people-oriented hotel enterprise culture.
