The tradition organizational structure is derived from the mass socialization production style, which includes functional structure, multidivisional structure, mixed structure and matrix structure, etc. The structure is suitable in mass and standardized production method. The tradition organizational structure played an important role under the circumstance of low degree in economy development and insufficiency in supply.The tradition organizational structure based on Work Division Theory. According to the theory, organization consists of some departments, each department only undertakes single work, the same specialized personnel is arranged to work in the identical department. Along with the social economy development and the fundamental change of social supply, the enterprise had to face the rapid change of environment. Consumer's demand has developed to the personalization. Production and service pattern of less varieties and mass production has turned to multi-varieties and less production. The tradition organizational structure possesses disadvantage like overemphasizing the division of labor, neglecting integration, the tendency of bureaucratism and hierarchy. It brings on insufficient communication and suppress of staff's individuality and the creativity. This structure does not favor modern information technology and can't adapt to modern competition environment and the demand, which make the rapid reaction to consumer need. These malpractices have affected enterprise's competitive ability.At present, most hotels adopt functional structure. As tradition organization, hotels are divided into some departments, the work flow are separated, not the continued process. Each department only responsible for its own duty, no one responsible for the final result. This lead to the difficulty of coordination, barrier of information communication between departments. This kind of structure cuts down the efficiency and it can't react to the change of environment and consumer's demand rapidly. It is necessary to reengineer organization, redesign it in customer's angle, thus achieve to the rapid response to customer's demand and competition environment to enhance customer satisfaction. To solve these problems, organization structure of hotels should be reengineered based on modern science and technology and new theories—reduced the management layers and extend the span of control personnel to establish an net work with knowledge as its core. The new hotel organizational structure which has the flexible characteristic can adapt to the change of competition circumstances and satisfy the personalization demand from customer, thus enhance hotel competitive power.Based on H hotel in Nanchang city, this paper analyzes the present organizational structure situation of high star-level hotel, and point out the drawbacks. We establish a new organizational structure using front organization theory, which can be useful for actual high star-level hotel management.This paper is structured as follows: Chapter 1 for the general introductions, we compare the differences on organizational structure situation of high star-level domestic and foreign hotels. Chapter 2 is the summary of concepts for both general enterprises and high star-level hotels. Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 is the description of present organizational structure situation of high star-level hotel, and point out the related drawbacks. And then we establish a new organizational structure using front organization theory .Chapter 5 is our conclusions, and raises some perspective problems concerned.
