| It is the technology that plays a key role in the upgrade of of industrial structure andforeign trade structure in China. Influenced by the financial crisis, China’s foreign tradein2009has met the first annual decline since1998by the largest rang dated to theimplementation of opening up and reform. What mainly caused this was the decrease inoutside demand, however, a lack of competitiveness of export merchants exacerbated thenegative impact simultaneously. On one hand, increasing the technological content ofexport products has been the most imperative issue; on the other hand, the industrialagglomeration is becoming more and more important to the foreign trade and thedomestic industrial structure in one country all over the world, and you can find that anumber of export enterprises gather in southeastern China. Regarding this, the paperdiscussed the relationship between industrial agglomeration and the level of technologyof foreign trade in China, so we can find the partial coordination between industrialstructure and exports.Firstly, we researched both the theory and the mechanism of how industrialagglomeration affected the technological level of foreign trade. Then, based on thesample data of manufacturing industry in China from2001to2011, we established afixed effects variable coefficient panel data model to analyze the econometricalrelationship between industrial agglomeration and export technological level. Theconclusion demonstrated that the effects industrial agglomeration had on export technicallevel were dynamical and they were different within different industries. Generally, inlow technological industry it appeared like the invert “U†while it appeared normal “Uâ€in medium technological industry, but there were no salient affection in hightechnological industry. Finally, we proposed corresponding advices based on theconclusion about the agglomeration of export industries in China. |
