Industrial Agglomeration And The Development Of Manufacturing New Pattern

The paper mainly studied the effect of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing "new pattern" development and its function mechanism.The paper firstly analyzed the current situation and difficulties of Chinese manufacturing industry,and put forward that manufacturing industry must take the road of "new pattern".On this basis,the paper defined the connotation of manufacturing "new pattern",built evaluation index system,and evaluated the "new pattern" degree of Chinese manufacturing.Then the paper analyzed the mechanism of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing "new pattern" development,and empirical analyzed the effect of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing "new pattern" development.The paper analyzed the function approach of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing "new pattern" development from economy,technology,environment and tax.The part of the "New Pattern" of Chinese manufacturing industry and its evaluation research gave five dimensional connotations.And on the basis of five dimensional connotations,we established the evaluation index system of Chinese manufacturing "New Pattern" and performed evaluation of Chinese manufacturing "New Pattern".The results showed that:On the whole,in 2003-2012 years,the degree of Chinese manufacturing "New Pattern" gradually increased and the overall development trend of Chinese manufacturing was good.At regional level,the degree of Chinese manufacturing "New pattern" had the ladder distribution situation in 2012.At provincial level,there were significant differences in the degree of Chinese manufacturing "New Pattern" between different regions in the comprehensive ability.The part of the effect of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing "new pattern"development theoretical analyzed the mechanism of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing "new pattern" development,and empirical analyzed its effect.Through the analysis of the effects of industrial agglomeration on the ability of economic creativity,the ability of innovation of science and technology,the ability of environmental protection,the ability of energy saving and the ability of social service,we obtained the conclusion that industrial agglomeation promoted the development of manufacturing "New Pattern".The empirical results showed that on the whole industrial agglomeration was conducive to improving the development of manufacturing "New Pattern",and it meant that industrial agglomeation policy established by government was conducive to the development of manufacturing "New Pattern".The part of industrial agglomeration,spatial efficiency and regional balance theoretically analyzed the mechanism of industrial agglomeration on spatial efficiency and regional unbalanced development,and empirically analyzed the effect of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing spatial efficiency and regional unbalanced development.The results showed that industrial agglomeration was the main force to enhance the region's manufacturing spatial efficiency through Marshallian externalities.And it could significantly improve the region's manufacturing labor productivity and the level of technological innovation.But at the same time,industrial agglomeration was a key factor of the unbalanced development of regional manufacturing industry,which meant that at present,industrial agglomeration can not gen two big wins of spatial efficiency and regional balance.The part of industrial agglomeration and manufacturing innovation empirical analyzed the effect of industrial agglomeration on manufacturing innovation.The results showed that at the whole level,the effect of specialization on manufacturing innovation performance was not significant,while diversity and competition had positive effect on manufacturing innovation performance.At the technological level,the innovation of low-tech sectors benefit more from MAR externality,while the innovation of medium and high-tech sectors benefit more from Jacobs externality.At the firm scale level,the innovation of small sized firms benefit more from Jacobs externality,while the innovation of large and medium sized firms benefit more from MAR externality.At the life cycle level,the innovation of new and young firms benefit more from Jacobs externality,while the innovation of mature firms benefit more from MAR externality.The part of industrial agglomeration and manufacturing environmental agglomeration empirically analyzed the spatial correlation and interaction between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution using spatial simultaneous equations based on the spillover effects of industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution.The results showed manufacturing agglomeration significantly aggravated environmental pollution,and it meant that industrial agglomeration can not gen two big wins of economic growth and environmental protection.While environmental pollution restrained manufacturing agglomeration,and it showed that environmental factors had an important influence on the location choice of manufacturing enterprises.In addition,manufacturing agglomeration and environmental pollution in any one city could be affected by manufacturing agglomeration and environmental pollution in surrounding cities through spatial spillover.The part of industrial agglomeration and manufacturing tax empirically analyzed the spatial correlation and interaction between industrial agglomeration and tax competition using spatial simultaneous equations based on the spillover effects of industrial agglomeration and tax competition.The results showed that manufacturing agglomeration significantly promoted the tax burden level,and it was mainly because that manufacturing agglomeration could create tax rent,and local governments can tax the rent and did not have to worry about the spatial flow of production factors.While the effect of tax burden on manufacturing agglomeration was not significant,and it showed that manufacturing enterprises did not pay attention to the local tax burden in the process of location selection.In addition,manufacturing agglomeration and environmental pollution in any one city can be affected by manufacturing agglomeration and environmental pollution in surrounding cities through spatial spillover.
