As a stated-owned enetrprise in aviation, Lading Gear Advanced ManufacturingCo.,Ltd (GAMC) is facing the question that how to develop in the background ofeconomy globalization and market oriented evolution of Chinese economy. Thisresearch made a thoroughly analysis on this question and examined existing problemsin corporation GAMC whilst put forward respective solutions and developmentstrategies for corporation GAMC. The purpose of this research is merging the theory ofstrategy management into the strategy making process of Chinese aviation enterprises,and expanding the theory’s application scope. This research also provided reference tomaking development strategy for those state-owned enterprises which are engaging inthe progress of modern enetrprises.This research took the corporation GAMC as study object and adopted strategymanagement theory and methods, e.g.,PEST, SWOT, etc, to study its developmentstrategy. This process is based on the analysis of features of aviation and current statusof Chinese aviation. The aim of the research is to provide theoretical and practicalguidance to the development of corporation GAMC. The essay ifrst introduces researchbackground and meaning, and also makes a systematic summary of relevant theoriesand corporation practices. Secondly,the essay studies the corporation’s developmentenvironment via its internal and external status. External status analysis includesperspectives of macro environment, industry competitive status and market demand ofproduct. And the essay concludes the opportunities and threats for corporation GAMCbased on this external status analysis. The internal status analysis includes aspects ofhistory, current status, technology capability and main existing problems ofcorporation GAMC. The essay concludes the advantages and disadvantages ofcorporation GAMC based on this internal status analysis. Thirdly,the essay proposes aconcentric diversification strategies for corporation GAMC based on strategycombination, which made by the SWOT analysis, and the strategic position. Theconcentric diversification strategies here indicate that the corporation GAMC shouldfoster the R&D,production and repair service of undercarriage, further expandinternational subcontract, shift the R&D and production of civilian products to the high-end,develop the third industry selectively. Finally, the essay raises measures ofimplementation and maintenance for the development strategies.
