Supply chain spread to the whole world with the expansion of global business. Employees with different culture background work together, and cross-culture teams arise at a historic moment. Based on the previous researches, some scholars put forward cultural intelligence, which describes the individual in the cross-cultural situation can change their behavior to fit for the environment, so as to effectively communicate with others to build a relationship. The relativity between the personality trait and work performance has been confirmed which shows the utility of the former one predicting the later one. However, only a few studies have explored the mechanism that how personality trait affect work performance. This article tries to prove the the mediating effect of cultural intelligence between them in cross-culture teams through empirical research.At present, the research on cultural intelligence is rare at home and abroad, and it is just a pilot empirical research on it. Firstly, this paper put forward relevant hypotheses and constructed the theoretical model on the basis of the related theories and literature. Then in order to test the hypotheses and model, cross-culture team members were taken as the research object and questionnaires were analyzed through323valid samples with the help of SPSS18.0, conclusions are as follows:Big five personality has significant impact on work performance; Big five personality has appreciable impact on cultural intelligence; Cultural intelligence has positive impact on work performance; Cultural intelligence has the intermediary effect between big five personality and job performance. In this paper, the conclusions validated majority of the hypotheses, obtained some enlightenment about human resource management in enterprises, and pointed out deficiencies and proposals for the future research.
