The Comprehensive Evaluation Of Low Carbon Economy Development Level In Shandong Province

Since the industrial revolution, with the continuous development of economy,global warming has been increasingly serious, and the sole way to alleviate theproblem under the premise of the rapid development of economy is the "low carboneconomy". It was officially put forward by England government in2003, however, atpresent, all countries which include China have act positively to develop low carboneconomy.China is the largest carbon emissions country, which take coal as the mainenergy, and the carbon emissions coefficient of coal is the highest in the fossil energy.The same as the national, Shandong province also take coal as the main energy.According to statistics, the proportion of raw coal is more than three-quarters of thewhole energy consumption in Shandong province in2012. In addition, Shandongprovince’s economy and population is at the top of the whole nation, which give riseto huge energy consumption and carbon emission. Therefore, research on low carboneconomic development level in Shandong province is particularly important.Under the background, after summarizes the research progress and developmentexperience of low carbon economy at home and abroad, and based on the fundamentalthoeries, this paper study the low carbon economy development in Shandong province.Firstly, analyzes the low carbon economy status of Shandong province. Secondly,establishes a evaluation index system and uses the entropy method andcomprehensive index method to quantitatively evaluate the low carbon developmentof Shandong province. Finally, discusses the results and put forward some suggestionto promote Shandong province’s low carbon economy development.
