As one of the largest economic core area in China, the Yangtze river delta region hasdeveloped into the world’s sixth largest urban agglomeration, but the significant resources andenvironment at the same time is also facing a severe test with the increasingly development ofsocial economic integration trend. Based on the16cities of the Yangtze river delta (Shanghai,Nanjing, Suzhou, Wwuxi, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong, Hangzhou,Jiaxing, Huzhou and Shaoxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Taizhou) as the research objects.Bystudying the economy and the resources and environment related theory and combined withecological economics, econometrics and mathematical statistics research methods, the articlehas carried on the comprehensive thorough research on the question of the Yangtze river deltaregional economic growth and the resources environment.This article mainly launches the research from the following several aspects:First,the article nanlyzed the situation of the economy and resources-environment ofYangtze river delta region. Through to the present situation of resources and environmentheof the Yangtze river delta region for nearly a decade, this paper pointed out that the regionaleconomic development and the industrial structure is constantly optimize,but it still hasserious problems,such as energy resources relative shortage, the "three wastes" emissionsserious water environmental pollution and so on. Despite years of environmental regulationstrength continuously strengthen,part of the ecological environment has improved, butbecause of the congenital conditions and long pollution and destruction,the resources andenvironmental security situation of the Yangtze river delta is not optimistic.Second, Application of decoupling theory is introduced and improved elasticity analysis,the decoupling degree judgement standard, the comprehensive selection index, index selectionof water consumption of resource consumption and energy consumption, consumption andecological footprint reduction of arable land, environmental pollution indicators selectedindustrial "three wastes", industrial emissions of sulfur dioxide and carbon emissions.Toestablish an index system which can fully reflects the state of the resource environment,andanalysis the timing variations and spatial evolution of trends in the presence of theenvironment and economic growth,among the Yangtze River Delta region and16city,during the period of2000and2009.Third, using Commoner decomposition model to further analyze how the economies ofscale, structural change and technological progress impacts the resources environment of theYangtze River Delta region. Pointing out that the effect of economies of scale and populationgrowth in2000-2010are positive, which had a pulling effect of the pressure on resourcesenvironment of the Yangtze River Delta region. The effect of technological progress in the sixperiods presented negative, indicating the effect of technological progress in the six periodsslowed the pressure on the resources environment. But in2003-2005, technological progresseffect showing a positive effect of technological progress, which means that in these threeperiods it increased the pressure on the resources environment.Fourth, the Yangtze River Delta economic growth and resource environment problem isproposed in this paper in the basis of the above studies. Summarized as four points: thetransformation of the mode of economic growth, vigorously develop the circular economy;strengthen cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta region, and actively promote pollutionprevention and control; promote technological innovation, increase investment in regionalenvironmental protection; improve the population quality, enhance their environmentalawareness. |
