Along with the rapid development and changement of IT technology, competition between server vendors became more intense, LC has a comprehensive strength for its integration on hardware and software, strong R&D capability, professional background products protection and service capabilities, so LC has an important position in server business in China even around the world place. However, on one hand, faced with complete industrial chain and mature service system of foreign server vendors, and on the other hand intensified investment in the core technology and low-cost strategy of the domestic manufacturers, LC Company must adopt different competitive strategies as to seek a long-term steady development.The author reviews the development of the server industry, summed up the major server vendors as well as their products’domestic sales situation, marketing strategy, development patterns, etc., based on the above, the author conducts a comprehensive analysis of the LC external environment and internal resources.Based on the theory of enterprise strategy, this paper takes competitive strategy as the core, with the aid of PEST, five forces model and SWOT analysis tools for research. Combined with the server market present situation and the LC’s development plan, the author tries to sum up the suitable differentiation competitive strategy, which gives this paper feasibility, practicality and innovation.LC Company’s competitive strategy should be implemented on four levels: differentiation products, services, technology and market. Differentiated product strategy will be achieved through the pursuit of excellent product quality, the mainstream and non-mainstream products’precise positioning and assurance of product patents; Differentiated service strategy involves service productization, customized products for different customers, high-quality pre-sales and after-sales service and service training; Differentiated technology strategy requires LC company continue research to meet market demand, increasing patent ownership and value, ensuring the follow-up R&D funding and human input; Market differentiation strategy calls for improving channel management and the strengthening of media and customer seminars and the implementation of industrial differentiation support strategy.LC differentiation strategy should be implemented in the company’s overall operating strategy and under the protection of back-office services. This paper provides a certain reference value for LC’s future development, which makes the paper feasibility, practicality and innovation.
