A notable development of HRM study and practices has been witnessed in the pastdecades. The contribution of HRM to the organizations’ performance is widely acceptedand emphasized. However, the development of HRM in Paraguay is somewhat laggedbehind. Based on a behavioral perspective, this study mapped a clear picture ofParaguay’s current HR development fact and empirically investigated in the relationshipbetween HRM Practice and Job attitude in Paraguayan enterprise. Because ofParaguay’s economic nature, micro firms are predominant (62.8%of them has less than5staffs) and their use of HRM is quite limited. Only very basic components of HRMPractice and Job attitude are available for the data collection. Data was collected fromthe sector of service; manufacture and commerce, a total of132usable questionnaireswere returned. The result showed that although limited in HRM use, the Paraguayanemployee are moderately involve, commit, and satisfied with their job, and simple HRpractices are also moderately implement by the companies.This dissertation draws on a unique national probability sample of micro organizations inParaguay to evaluate the association between a variety of basic HRM practices andemployee’s work attitude. This study also adds knowledge to the literature about HRMpractices in Paraguay.
