Path Selection Research Of RMB Internationalization

Financial globalization is a hot topic of global society in the21st century, andinternationalization of currency as an important part of its inevitable become the focus ofthe world. Since the21st century, our country economy sustained and rapid development,political affairs and the international status improved continuously, China becomes one ofthe most development potential and promising country in the21st century, RMBinternationalization has become an inevitable trend along with the impact of The FinancialCrisis. Therefore, it’s of great significance to choose RMB as the research object andprobe into its internationalization path.This paper uses strategic management theory and tools, starts from the definition ofcurrency internationalization and RMB internationalization, exploring the basic conditionsof monetary internationalization; then, this paper analyzes and compares the process of thethree major international currency internationalization,seeking enlightenment to the RMBinternationalisation; next,analyzing the present situation and the level of RMBinternationalization, on the basis of current research results regarding the conditions ofinternational currency, the article uses the SWOT analysis method and analyzesstrengthens、weaknesses、opportunities and threats faced by Chinese government duringRMB internationalized process; finally, comprehensive the above analysis, makes ascientific decisions and chooses a sensible path from two “three steps” path and “doubletrack” path which are the mainstream pathes of RMB internationalization, steadily pushesforward RMB internationalization gradually.The author believes,RMB internationalization is the inevitable trend of history, atpresent the conditions and the timing are ripe, but the path of RMB internationalization istortuous and complex.To some extent, the internationalization processes of the three majorinternational currency has a certain reference significance, but the RMBinternationalization path cann’t be copied completely.We should take the current timebackground、 the international environment and China’s national conditions into consideration,choosing a RMB internationalization path with Chinese characteristics, sothe “double track” is a wise choice.
