Sothis paper based on the regional competitiveness to excavate the leap-forward development level differencebetween corps and the autonomous region, thus digs advantages and disadvantages of corps’ leap-forwarddevelopment, discusses its leap-forward development feasibility and makes targeted recommendations torealize corps’ leap-forward development.This article first introduces the research background and significance, as well as carried on the briefoverview for domestic and foreign present research situation, thus put forward in this paper’s research ideasand content, at the same time according to the two themes of this article (regional competitiveness andleapfrog development), given related concepts and theoretical basis respectively.Second, In view of the theoretical basis, this paper establishes the perspective of leapfrog developmentevaluation index system under the regional competitiveness, use description statistics method points fouraspects (strength, environment, potential development and structure) elaborate corps’ economicdevelopment situation, then analyzes the features of the corps’ current development situation, such as therapid development, unbalanced development, the development of high pressure and so on, through thechapter list, firstly own a general grasp of corps’ economic development.Then, use the maximum deviation of the comprehensive evaluation method, evaluate corps andautonomous regions’ great-leap-forward development situation analysis of1978-2011, and according withthe data of corps share in autonomous regions to analysis corps ‘development speed relative to theautonomous region,finally concluded that corps’ economic leap-forward development level has increasedyear by year, economic strength, the structure of the environment, and the potential also has a rising trend, but relative to autonomous region corps still has certain gap, but corps’ economic development strength andthe structure of the economy development speed are faster than the autonomous region in recent years.Again, through the above comparison, draw a regiment in the corps ‘development of competitiveadvantages and disadvantages, plus corps’ itself system and late-mover advantage, systematic analysis onthe corps’ the advantages and disadvantages of leapfrog development, corps ‘development is at the stage ofmore opportunities than challenges, so realize the leap-forward development is feasible, then according tothe comprehensive index model checked calculation of leapfrog development feasibility, found that in2011the corps’ leapfrog development process has reached more than80%, and has increasing trend year by year,then by the time sequence predicted the leapfrog development process for2012-2012, results showaccording to the current trajectory, in2020the corps’ leapfrog development process nearly100%, if raisingthe speed of the development, corps realize leap-forward development time will be shorter, strengthenedthe corps leapfrog development feasibility analysis conclusion.Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, this paper finally put forward many recommendations tospeed up the corps’ leapfrog development.
