The model measures the index of infrastructure in Hunan, industrial technology,information and consumer applications, knowledge support, development effectiveness infive areas.In order to have a clear understanding on the development level ofinformatization in Hunan Province, the author also pays attention to compare horizontally,analyzed the development gap between Hunan province and other provinces ofinformatization, our province and other information the developmental gap with thedeveloped countries, as well as to the Hunan province around the city informationdevelopment speed compared to.As can be seen from the results, Hunan Province over the past decade, informationtechnology has been greatly improved, each segment has a significant growth indicators,but there are still some problems. Information technology development imbalancebetween the municipalities in our province, there is a digital divide will widen the gapbetween regions of our province, this gap is not conducive to comprehensively promotethe information society. In addition, Nationwide, the province still belongs to thebackward areas of information, some categories even less than the national average index,the gap with developed countries in the world of information is even greater.This paper studies show that current level of informationization development inHunan province still belongs to the third class of the world, so how to develop the informatization development strategy, speed up the informationization development in ourprovince, thus promote the development of new industrialization, urbanization andagricultural modernization has become the informationization development of Hunanprovince priority. According to the empirical results of the study of how to play theadvantage of Hunan Province, through the promotion of information technology,comprehensively promote other industries, to achieve leapfrog development, completionof catch-up.The author thinks that the main is to accelerate the industrialization andinformatization "two integration", adhere to the "science and education province" byeducation drive informatization, accelerate the Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan City Clusteras "information source" and "information" priority development strategy.
