Since the1980s, with the networKed and digital information technology develop rapidly, Knowledge has become one of the important factors in economic development, thus human society enter the Knowledge economy era. Research and development type staff, as Knowledge creator and carrier, is the most valuable resources in enterprise organization, while because of research and development type staff itself has own specificity, managers are not easy to give a clear definition to their performance, the measurement of enterprises easy to cause serious failure. How to evaluate research and development staff effectively will become an important content in the area of human resources management in companies and enterprises.The history of the definition and evaluated measures of research and development type staff in the worldwide is not long, this paper explores the innovation and breaKthrough studied by the domestic and foreign scholars in recent years, and summarizes the predecessors’good points, learn the definition of the research and development staff and the characteristics of performance appraisal, then according to the related theory, aim at the staff performance appraisal methods of Kuntai agriculture science and technology co.,LTD., and point out some problems of its evaluated method, such as:the performance appraisal system come apart with enterprise development goals, single index design, lacK of performance feedbacK mechanism, compensation incentives irrelative to performance results etc, the paper analysis the causes of the performance appraisal system, finally obtain some suggestion on research and development staffs’ performance appraisal system, this paper expounds index building, method choice and results of Kuntai agriculture science and technology co., LTD., systematically.Actually, any management mode or evaluation system is not perfect, to let the performance evaluation system play a long-term role in the company, the company must establish the perfect training system, and, as a Kind of inspire, the enough funds combine with the performance appraisal results, and provide the choice of corresponding paid out training, do have rules to follow, through carrying out the relevant professional lectures designedly, creating more learning and improved opportunities, let learning and training methods to enhance the competitive power of enterprises, while provide opportunities for research and development staffs.
