Nursing staff is an important part of the hospital, nurses always works in first-line, take the responsibility of doing all kinds of treatment, observation, rehabilitation, preoperative and postoperative care, daily life care, psychological care and health education. The nurses’ work attitude and work performance directly affect the quality of medical services, patient satisfaction and the overall benefits of the hospital. Nowadays, our clinical nursing work has the following problem:lack of staff, heavy workload, low job satisfaction, unstable team, etc. Establishing a scientific and effective incentive mechanism is necessary to make the nurses play enthusiasm and creativity, to develop their potential and intrinsic motivation, to stable the nursing care team.This research took M Hospital’s nursing staff incentives mechanism as an example, used organizational behavior and human resources management theory, threw finding Hospital files, questionnaires, and interviews, explored the nurse job satisfaction and current incentives. Therefore, the nurse job satisfaction and current incentives were analysised to identify the problems and shortcomings of the current nursing staff incentives. Based on this, combined with the hospital actual situation, the basic principles and methods of optimizing the M Hospital nurses incentives was given as following: material incentives, mental stimulation, development incentives and work incentives. And through the following method to develop a better incentive mechanism:position management, establishing a reasonable salary distribution system, refinement of the performance appraisal system, establishing a comprehensive training system and scientific and rational Career planning for nursing staff.
