Since the1990s, the trend of economic globalization is unceasingly highlighted. Theexternal business environment grows complexly and dynamically. In this case, it demands theenterprises to maintain their core competencies. RBV theory of human resource-based viewsupposes that the corporations’ competencies heads from its critical and scare manpowerresources which is the core staffs of the organizations. For a long time, the core staffs’unsustainable motivation and frequent staff turnover are the direct manifestation of lack ofincentive. In many enterprises, compensation motivation system is imperfect, moralencouragement and humanistic care is seriously vacant, and career path is not clearly defined.Then it results in the barely satisfactory of core staffs’ performance and organizationcontribution. Therefore, the urgent affair of the enterprises’ core staff management is how tokeep and develop the core staffs through effective staff incentive mechanism.This paper takes maintaining the competitive advantage and working enthusiasm ofenterprise’s internal core talents as a starting point. And the subject of case study is Trina SolarLimited (TSL). The company’s core staffs are mainly motivated and kept by performance salary,supplemented by other incentive methods. Firstly, the paper proposes the study questions andstates its study significance and status. It presents incentive characteristics to core staffs andprincipal modes to motivate staffs. With a detailed analysis, the paper leads to the currentsituation and trend of core staff motivation in TSL. It provides some directions for carrying outthe research. Secondly, the paper looks at the staffs’ basic situation, compensation incentive,spiritual motivation and current career development in TSL. It analyzes the existing problems ofcore staff incentive mechanism currently by core staff satisfaction survey. Thirdly, according tothe current situation of the core staffs in TSL, the paper sets up an optimum proposal for corestaff incentive mechanism and elaborates on its implementation process and issues. At last, thepaper summarizes the research result and evaluates the expected effect of the optimum proposal.Also, it points out the shortage of the research and the future direction.
