Wireless network positioning technology is precisely positioning the geographical location of a mobile terminal or a personal at a certain time by using the wireless communication network, measuring the received radio wave parameters and specific algorithms. It can provide relevant services of location information to the mobile end user or real-time monitoring and tracking. In a large dairy farm so far, finding a cow or counting the number of total cows is achieved by human generally. This approach is low efficiency. If there is an emergency situation, it will produce more serious consequences. For example, there is a sick cow, if you cannot quickly find the location of the cow, and deal with emergency treatment, it may cause economic losses because of delaying the best treatment period.If introduce the wireless network positioning technology into the dairy industry, it will be able to solve these problems. The key content of this study is that you can keep abreast of the position of cows, manage cows conveniently and improve the efficiency.Contents of this paper are:(1) Firstly, analyze the relevant literature and information of wireless network positioning technology, research and summarize existing positioning solutions, including popular location algorithm and broader application of positioning technologies, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of existing positioning solutions. Considering costs of the system, power consumption of equipment and the difficult degree of achievement, ultimately develop the program for positioning cows in dairy.(2) Study the principles of ZigBee technology deeply and the classification of network topology in the ZigBee technology, analyze their advantages and disadvantages. Study the protocol of ZigBee technology, and finally use the principle of ZigBee technology in the positioning system.(3) Design the hardware of this positioning system. Through access to information and field experiments find that cows will strongly absorb2.4GHz signal, causing the transmission of data loss and other consequences. Then decide to use433MHz chip, namely CC1101. Choose MSP430G2553as the microcontroller of the devices. Design the software of this positioning system. For the functionality of different types of equipment in ZigBee technology, design programs of coordinator, router and terminal equipment. Analyze and solve the problem of signal occupies within different devices.(4) Experimental research phase. Select the location that can better simulate the experimental of dairy farm environment. By collecting RSSI data, linear regression calculations and determine the RSSI ranging model. Referring to the positioning error model, calculate and analyze the error between the actual coordinates and the measured coordinates.Innovations of this paper are:(1) Existing researches of positioning for cows are all using2.4GHz chip, In this paper, using433MHz CC1101solve the problem that cow absorbs2.4GHz signal.(2) Reduce the workload of breeder. Breeder can provide protection for the cows in some emergency. Count the number of total cow easier.(3) Help breeder judge and observe incidence and estrus of cows. Reduce the workload of breeder and cost of dairy farming enterprise, improve work efficiency.
