Tianjin Pipeline Engineering Group was established in1974. The company is the original body of water engineering company in Tianjin, Tianjin Pipeline Engineering Group reorganized Limited in1997. After years of operation and development, the company has developed into a large-scale, high production pipeline engineering company. Tianjin to create a unique brand pipeline project With the increase of the company’s development and operation of the scale, the company’s non-lease supplies, including own consumption of materials, working materials management becomes increasingly important. Existing management programs and systems is now no longer able to meet the development needs. Hence the need to develop new building systems to meet the needs of current materials management. The system for non-lease supplies and leasing turnover materials management. On the basis of the original system more efficient management and data clearing. And to provide a more detailed inquiry supplies business.This thesis study and introduce the design and development working process of Tianjin pipeline engineering group material management system, and the system development can be divided into four parts including requirement acquisition and analysis, general design, detailed design, system implementation and system testing according to the theory of software engineering. In addition, the thesis give a state and discuss of system’s development background and target. Among four main processes, the demand acquisition and analysis phase take charge of acquiring and analysis the business requirement of Tianjin pipeline engineering group materials management system. General design phase take charge of designing system’s overall architecture and functional architecture. Detailed design phase take charge of the function module and detailed design of the system internal interaction. The system implementation phase take charge of the specific implementation, including coding and system integration. The system testing phase give system function testing for Tianjin pipeline engineering group material management system to ensure the validity and the practicability of the system. This system is implemented in J2EE platform, based on B/S architecture and uses Oracle database to store data.Tianjin pipeline engineering group material management system achieved the no-lease and lease materials management of Tianjin pipeline engineering group. The system has perfect function mechanism and security mechanism, so it can manage the material quickly and effectively and ensure the data’s security and stability. The system provides six main business functions including basic file management, material consuming plan management, turnover materials plan, leasing and purchasing management, turnover material statistical analysis, which basically meet all requirement of Tianjin pipeline engineering group material management.Tianjin pipeline engineering group management system has run after the repeated test and the result is good. While providing high efficiency work for Tianjin pipeline engineering group material all managements, the system provide data security material management.
