With the rapid development of aging degree in our country, the number of elderly people increases gradually. Due to that there exists only one child in most families, plenty of elderly people can’t be well cared by their children when they are hospitalized, which easily leads to psychological loneliness and annoyance. Focused on this problem, this paper researches and develops a hospital-oriented accompany robot software system. According to the principles of intellectualization, practicability and more friendly human-computer interaction, accomplished the system design of the product system. In the end, the software was successfully applied in related practical engineering projects.A complete accompany robot software product should have the capacity of keen environmental awareness, brief and convenient ability of human-computer interaction, multiple motion control methods, medical information management, living care, interactive entertainment etc. Consequently, taking into account of the non-functional requirements of stability, openness, and strong ability of extension performance. In this paper, we focus on the research and design of the medical information database module, and propose the practical solution based on cloud storage.In the context of massive hospital medical information and distributed medical records, information of diagnosis and treatment, medication, etc. It is very necessary to set up a cloud storage platform and achieve unified and effective information management. This article based on Web services application, using the language of WSDL for the service description, by means of the protocol of SOAP as the communication between robot and cloud port. By moving the local medical information database to a unified data center, implemented the uniform data definition and naming conventions, so as to realize data sharing in target centralized data environment. Based on the cloud storage to realize data synchronization, making it easy for users to access the cloud data center through a variety of methods such as mobile phone, computer and so on.Robot voice interaction system adopts the self-developed SDK of iFLYTEK. In the program, add the call statement of voice, process the speech recognition to the cloud server, synthesis the results of feedback, so as to realize a complete voice interaction process; It provides interaction between patient information database with intelligent hospital information, in order to give real-time feedback according to the requirements of the patient instructions, and then update information data in real time state; Motion control module is design based on RS232serial port communication mechanism, through to the class inheritance of the command, serial ports, devices connection; The entertainment and care module is mainly based on ActiveX controls in VS2010. Then it calls ShockwaveFlash plug-in play SWF files, calling the system application to realize the basic video, interactive entertainment, health care function.This paper summarizes the research status of accompany robot software system. At the same time, we built the inpatient environment in the Second Hospital of Shandong University, according to the demand of production and the practice, based on cloud computing and Web service technology, the accompany robot has carried on the design and implementation of software system, and was applied successfully. Application results show that the extensity of cloud platform can satisfy the user in different ways by different devices, using cloud storage software products and related data, to ensure the accompany robot completing a task safely and effectively.With the continuous development of related technologies, the function of accompany robot software system in the hospital environment will be more perfect, more practical and have more wide application prospect. This thesis research work will play a certain role in promoting cloud storage technology and the wide use of accompany robot software products.
