Highly Reliable Public Cloud Storage System In The Multi-cloud

With the increasing popularity of the cloud storage services,more and more enterprises or organizations have moved or planned to move data from local datacenters to the cloud.Typical scenarios include data backup and online digital media.However,solely depending on a cloud storage service has many serious problems.First,it can cause vendor lock-in problem,which results in high cost to switch form one cloud storage service to another.Second,it can cause service disruptions,once the cloud storage service fails,data stored on the cloud cannot be accessed.Third,solely depending on a particular cloud storage service can also results in data security issues,the cloud storage provider can access all the data on the cloud.To solve these problems,enterprise cloud storage system utilizes the public Web APIs provided by enterprise cloud storage services to integrate them into a multi-cloud.The system uses a distributed design in which all the logic is implemented on local devices.User files are fragmented and stored in all available enterprise cloud storage services to improve system security and reliability and maximize data transfer.The key techniques to reduce storage cost are the strategy of minimizing the redundant data and an adaptive algorithm for file storage class,which dynamically adjust the file storage class based on the file's access frequency and enterprise needs.Furthermore,the system utilizes a configurable local server,which enables data to be quickly and securely migrated between different enterprise cloud services through an asynchronous communication protocol.The enterprise cloud storage system is implemented on the windows platform,and are compared with 5 famous enterprise cloud storage services,including Google Cloud,Amazon s3,Microsoft Azure,Aliyun and Baiduyun.The results show that the enterprise cloud storage system not only has better reliability and security,but also achieve higher networking performance.
