In recent years, with the deepening of the aging society, empty nesters, more andmore children left behind, their security has become a social problem can not be ignored.in order to strengthen the links between special populations and guardians to ensure thatguardians realize their position at any time, to avoid dangerous situations, which alsocontributed to the emergence and development personnel locator. People also come torealize the importance of personal positioning system.In the Thesis, the design of embedded positioning system based on specialpopulations GPS/GSM, the system include the PC, smart mobile terminals and therespective positioning modules. the mobile terminal sends each location modulepositioning instruction, the positioning module is controlled by the instruction, thecollected position data and other information transmitted through the GSM network tothe intelligent mobile terminal and the PC, on the mobile terminal, the development ofBaidu map software to be positioning guardians display functions, on the PC,to achievepositioning map display and data stored in the database to locate information, facilitatemanagement inquiries, to care for the purpose of special populations. The main contentsinclude several aspects, power module design, including charging circuit design andpower circuit design. HFSS GSM antenna RF simulation. The main controller MCUmodule design, completion of processing information, including GPS informationprocessing and the processing information of the base station. Intelligent mobileterminal application developers and PC software development.Eventually, the whole conduct of each module be debugging, experiments showthat the system accurate positioning, stable operation, it can achieve a small size andlow power requirements, the whole running well, care for special populations have agood value.
