Monitoring of medium wave broadcast transmitting station is vital for broadcast safety. Currently, monitoring systems for it is out of date, the informationization level is low, workload is intensive, and the station management and maintenance is not well organized. This leads to a high failure rate of the exciter equipment which cannot meet well with the broadcast department's major demands “broadcast safety”. Based on this, a solution is proposed. This plan incorporates various technologies which includes automation control technology, network communication technology, database technology, and management etc. In this plan, an advanced automatic broadcast control system is established to form an automatic broadcast model with the programmed, standardized, and unified management system.This thesis focuses on one part of the whole remote monitoring and management solution for medium broadcast transmitting station. It majorly covers the design of a provincial centre remote monitoring software platform and its realization. First, introduce the background and research significance of this system. Second, give a detailed demand analysis of the system including functional and non-functional requirements and also the functional module charts as well as some performance acceptance test items of this system is presented. Then, show the key development techniques of this system, including the interpretation of the data interface specification of the transmitting station operation and management system, the identity authentication technology, J2 EE development based on Struts2, Spring and Hibernate, network programming technology based on socket and asynchronous network programming framework Netty and so on. Third, present a detailed introduction for the design and the realization of the core module in this system and illustrate the software and hardware architecture diagram of this system. Meanwhile, it also replenishes the data interface specification of transmitting station operation and management system. It realized identity authentication algorithms based on USB Key. J2 EE structure is realized with lightweight Struts2, Hibernate and Spring framework. And based on Netty, we designed and realized a Socket server. Tests of this system include unit testing and integration testing, as well as the stress test for Socket server. Finally, we made a summary and outlook of this subject. Through the module and system testing, the system can meet the functional and non-functional requirements, which have reached the expected goals.
