Researching On Cover Story Of The Bund

With twelve years of development and progress, The Bund stands out as a contemporary Chinese contemporary pictorial. Its circulation has increased dramatically over the years. The Bund’s cover story has attracted increasing attention and recognition, especially with its concept of’in-depth and fashion’ on the cover story.This paper will put forward detailed analysis and explanation using cover stories from The Bund between2009-2013. This research considers quantity and quality with a strong focus on the cover story’s selection on characters, content, layout design, as well as culture and geographic characteristics of the bund and Shanghai.Specifically, first, when choosing characters, The Bund covers the place the character from, his/her occupation, age and gender. Secondly, when comes to the content, The Bund analyses the cover story’s depth, relevancy and subject. The last part of layout design has more insights on the elements utilization and integration.Through the three points mentioned above on the connection of Culture and geographic characteristic of Shanghai and the Bund, this paper further analyzes and explains the advantages and characteristics, and wish to contribute to the future development of Chinese contemporary comprehensive pictorial.
