ZigBee is a one of the most important wireless communication technology. As one of the most popular research in21st century, wireless communications are playing a more and more important role in human society. Wireless communication technology has been used in different industry, such as working, management and education. The development of wireless communication has improved the quality of people’s life and promoted the society’s progress.ZigBee is a new kind of short-range wirelss communication technology with series advantages, such as low energy cost, love data rate, low cost and low complexity. More and more companys and scientists are paying attend to the development of ZigBee at the time it was invented. Especially after the ZigBee alliance was setted up, ZigBee is gaining a fastest develop since ever then. Now on today, ZigBee is widely used in industrial control field, smart house field, electronics consumer field and so on. ZigBee devices are pushed out in some west countries. Compared to foreign countries, the development of ZigBee is late and slow, only during this late10years does more and more participants are paying more attention on the development of ZigBee. However, our country’s ZigBee is developing rapidly based on foreign’s good ZigBee achievements and experience. A lots universities and companies are taking part in the development of ZigBee. ZigBee is becoming one of the more popular wirelss communications in our country.Firstly, the paper gived the description of ZigBee, research status of the world and the final meaning of this research. Making a depthy research on ZigBee stack protocol, inclouding PHY, MAC, NWL and APL. Secondly, this paper gived the structure of ZigBee network and the various device types in detail. This paper introduced seaverl usually used ZigBee synchronization algorithm, made an analysis of their working principles, adwantages and disadvantages. According to-these-seaveral synchronization algorithm, a new ZigBee synchronization algorithm based on TPSN and DMTS was proposed, and gived the basic principles of its implementation. Thirdly, this paper gived the whole design of ZigBee wireless fire monitoring system, inclouding the hardware and software of fire smoking monitoring node, sound-light alarm node and manual alarm node. And the paper gived the design of the hardware anti-electromagnetic interference measures. Finally, this paper gived the hardware platform and the software platform of the ZigBee wireless fire monitoring system, making a detail test on the function, performance and life of the three kind node. Using the NS2network simulation platform, this paper gived the performance of the designed synchronization algorithm compared to the others. According to the results of the testing, we can know that the new synchronization algorithm can usefully improve the reliability and device the energy cost.
