HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) has more outstanding prospects for development compared with Traditional analog interface in high-speed signal transmission. HDMI has been used in display interface chip widely. With the sharply increase of high-speed circuit and low voltage, low power consumption, traditional circuit designers have higher requirements for the professional quality. In western countries, the signal integrity of high-speed circuit research began in the nineties and has had a very perfect solution, but our country is still in its infancy in this research. In this paper, the signal integrity issues is researched, which is based on TMDS differential transmission line. HDMI has been introduced from the basic framework of the HDMI to TMDS transmission principle, analyzing the HDMI signal integrity test requirements. This paper mainly studies the important role in high-speed circuit design. Simulation study includes pre simulation and post simulation. The hyperlynx software is used in pre simulation to analyze intra-pair skew, inter-pair skew and crosstalk, getting the constraint rules which conform to HDMI1.2specification. The PCB is designed in Cadence with the former constraint rules, the SIwave and Designer software of Ansoft Company are used in the post simulation. This paper not only validation constraint rules, but also discusses the influence of impedance mutation, crosstalk, reflection and the return path on the design and optimize the layout design further. Finally, the measure results and simulation are compared, they all meet the HDMI1.2specification. So the simulation is necessary and reliable in high-speed circuit design and the high-speed circuit with high signal quality can be designed by the correct simulation method.
