Design And Implementation Of An Electronic Seal Application System For PDF

PDF is widely used for several seasons such as good cross-platform, highly efficientcompression capabilities, high-quality screen display and vivid prints. From2008, PDF wasmaintained by International Organization for Standardization as an international standard. PDFis more popular in the West. PDF’s authentication mechanism is perfect, but it is based on thehabits of the West. There is a great difference between China and the West about identityauthentication habits. Identity authentication is realized through signature in the West, butthrough the seal in China. On the Internet, more and more electronic documents containimportant information today. The traditional seal certification system is facing difficultybecause it cannot be used for the electronic documents. Therefore using seal certificationsystem on the electronic documents is a pressing issue of today that must be solved.Based on the above, seal certification requirements for PDF files is increasingly apparent.This paper studies the electronic seal application system for PDF. PDF files can be protectedand authenticated by the electronic seal application system for PDF.The electronic seal application system consists of an electronic seal managementsystem,an electronic seal application system and the equipment for saving electronic seal. Themain function of electronic seal management system is a management of electronic seals, suchas the creation,registration or abolition of the electronic seal and so on. The electronic sealapplication system signs electronic documents via electronic seals.This paper focuses on follows:1. Study the concept, history and evolution of a seal, andpresent trends of the electronic seal application systems, and focus on the theoretical basis ofthe electronic seal and related technologies, including encryption and public key infrastructure.2. Define the requirements of the electronic seal application system for PDF and establish arequirements model.3. In terms of the organizational structure of PDF files, design anelectronic seal system application process. The process includes outline design and modulestructure. Design digital electronic seal structure, electronic stamp structure and the Algorithmof each module.4. Implement the electronic seal application system for PDF by means ofOpenSSL, Cryptopgraphy API, PDF-based library, C++.5. Testing and verifying systemaccording to requirement. The electronic seal application system for PDF can promote the development ofe-commerce and e-government in the country and solve the problem of the PDF fileauthentication and integrity.
