The Design And Development Of Android-based Knowledge Management Software

With the rapid development of network technology and communication technology, mankind has fully entered the information age. Nowadays, information explosion has become an indisputable fact, and knowledge is updated rapidly. In the era of knowledge economy, knowledge, which can determine one’s competitiveness, has become a core resource. Besides, personal knowledge management is drawing more and more attention as it forms the bases of creativity, which will probably influence the development of web-based instruction and educational technology. With the rapid development of technology, wireless technology and smartphones in life has also been widely used, which also contributes to the development of personal knowledge management software. Therefore, this paper attempts to use Android system as a platform to design and develop a personal knowledge management software so as to change the traditional way customers use computers and networks. It will enable customers to capture their own inspirations, experience or even some important knowledge, manage them efficiently and use them eventually.First and foremost, this paper claims its study background and meaning from the following three aspects:the historical background, the technology background and the reality background. It also illustrates the study situation home and abroad, the study methods and its main contents.Secondly, the paper focuses on the constructivist theory, informal learning theory and its implications for personal knowledge management. It also introduces the content of knowledge, the relationships among data information and knowledge, the classification of knowledge and the transformation of knowledge. It later proposes the definition of personal knowledge management and relevant principles and skills about personal knowledge management. Lastly it analyzes the current personal knowledge management and the accessibility of the new development based on the mentioned theories and the summarized function needs of personal knowledge management software.Thirdly, this paper introduces the Android system and its functions, and compares it with other mobile operating systems, which establishes the advantage of Android system in personal knowledge management. Combined with the theoretical guidance, the thesis put forward its own vision.Again, this paper illustrates from the design and development aspect. Design aspect includes need analysis, overall design, detailed design. Development aspect introduces the structures and possible problems first, then it illustrates the implementation and test results.Last but not least, this paper summarizes the innovations and weaknesses, and declares the author’s prospects.
