Near Field Communication(NFC) technology is one of the Automatic Identification Systems. It is welcomed by people because of its low power consumption, good performance of security and etc. This paper is based on ISO/IEC14443A protocol to design Channel Code unit and Information Safety unit of passive NFC Tag chip, including the circuits of Modified Miller code Decoder, Manchester code Encoder, Odd Parity, Cyclic Redundancy Check and DES encryption, as well as the relevant simulation of the circuits.Firstly, this paper describes the history of NFC and the comparison between NFC technology and other Automatic Identification Systems, explaining the significance of the topic. Secondly, this paper describes the overall architecture about digital circuitry of the passive NFC Tag chip, introducing the key technology and basic principles of NFC Tag chip System. Also, a detailed description of design methods about the Channel Code unit and the Information Safety unit of NFC Tag chip, and complete the coding of relevant design circuit using Verilog HDL hardware description language. We use Modelsim to simulate those functional code and Design Compile of Synopsys which is one of the synthesis tools to compile the coded circuits with SMIC180nm Process Library. At last the full text is summarized and the ameliorating direction in the future is pointed out.The Channel Code and Decode unit and the Information Safety unit are passed by simulation in this paper. The result showed that they can satisfy the technology requirements which the protocol of ISO/IEC14443A requests the passive NFC Tag.
