Under the background of social transformation in China, and the expansion of breadth and depth of public expression, public opinion expression has already broken the unitary situation, and the diversification of social interest demands and of the value of social members make public opinion diversified. Public expression, the superstructure, reflects the foundation of social economy, different public expression reflecting current social productive forces, the social economic relations, and social benefits pattern in our country..According to the distinct dominant force behind each field, this paper will propose the conception of three different public opinion fields, and illustrates the partition basis from the perspective of the power of capital. It demonstrates that the driving force of China’s mainstream public opinion field is political power, while the driving force of nongovernmental public opinion field is social ideological trends and psychological emotions, which are engendered by great disparity of social status and diversification of stakeholders. In addition, the driving force of overseas public opinion field is the mainstream social values and national interests of the Western world. The study analyzes the basic characteristics of the current pattern of the public opinion, and emphasize on the position and role of the mainstream media in the new pattern of public opinion, which drives a conclusion that the mainstream media, will hold the dominant position in public opinion more firmly, if it combines, inherent politics, economic capitals and symbolic capital, all three together.Urbanization construction is a great reform concerning the interests of all the Chinese people, and multi-level and multi-dimensional problems of the whole society. The government policies, expert opinions, the farmers’ voice, urban residents’ views, the attention of foreign media, and suggestions from people from all orders of society will make this great reform in the new century blossom in radiant splendor. Therefore, the media discourse expression about China’s urbanization construction can be used as a case to study current status of China’s public opinion. Urbanization of public expression provides an ideal "reference" both in the "comparative perspective" and the "dimension relationship"From the perspective of descriptive significance, the study of urbanization of public opinion,, guided by the theory of "three public opinion field", shows different images in different public opinion fields represented by the object of the study. Generally, the People’s Daily faithfully propagandizes the new urbanization in the set tone of the party and the government, and makes full use of the elite discourse to guide regional urbanization construction; Grassroots microblog, mingled with various folk emotions, has more derogatory sense than good ones on the whole; Broadcasts to China with a long history like The Voice of America, aiming at the problems in China’s urbanization construction, still have prejudices on the national road and the system of China.From the perspective of normative significance, we should reflect on public policies like how to promote urbanization to national strategy, how to better absorb the public opinion, how to propagandize "the story of China" in the era of globalization, how to unify the governance of public opinion with society in the changing pattern of public opinion, so as to achieve the realization of the national goal.This paper, on the basis of the concept of "cultural hegemony" put forward by Gramsci, analogically defines mainstream opinion as "hegemony" public opinion flow in the field of public opinion. The status of public opinion flow is not established in one report, but throughout the course of the hot issues of public opinion and constant competition with every other opinion, and finally exists as "hegemony" public opinion. This paper puts forward innovative ideas to strengthen the guiding force of mainstream public opinion, establishes public opinion "good governance" thinking, converts public management and rule of behavior to management behavior, and under the principle of maximizing the public interest, the governance of public opinion and society will be implemented synchronously, and will realize a dynamic harmony in the pattern public opinion under the way of exerting an leavening impact imperceptibly.Gramsci, analogically defines mainstream opinion as "hegemony" public opinion flow in the field of public opinion.
