Design And Implementation Of Elective And Attendance System Based On General Coursesin A College

With the growing size of the university, teaching management in colleges and universities is becoming problems which should be solved urgently. Since generalcourses are not affiliated with the other colleges in universities, so there has been a problem of disorder, confusion, etc. in the teaching management of general courses. In order to further improve the teaching management level of general courses and utilize the achievements, this dissertation explores and develops this public teaching administer website, which aims to achieve the information sharing and management integration for the general courses teaching administration.The general courses elective and attendance system are faced to all of school’s staff and students, too many users run the system at the same time may result in a series of unexpected problems. Therefore this system takes fully considerations to the needs of users before development, gives a detailed analysis and designs the system structure and function modules. The system uses ASP as the development language, access as the database system, and sets up the connection between the database and the system by the ADO technology. It can achieve the following functions:online scheduling, student enrollment, teacher attendance, student attendance information query, teacher attendance modifying, courses transfer for teachers. Meanwhile, the attendance administrators can use the system to analyze the data of attendance, to maintain the data of system, and download and print the data.From the practical point of view, this dissertation aims to improve the function of both the general courses elective and attendance system, which analyzes the demands of system establishment and the conceptions of designation, improves the system with the help of PSO, making general courses elective and attendance system more effective and better running.
