As a testing equipment to automobile brake linings performance parameters, brake friction tester has been widely used in machinery, automobile, parts detection and other industries. However, in the process of the design of the brake friction testing machine, the structure is not reasonable, size, and its data management is not standard. With the maturity of the development of computer technology and virtual technology, it is importment to develope a detection system based on virtual instrument.This paper mainly discusses the application of the Labview the temperature test system to carry on the design of brake friction testing machine, to achieve fast automatic building experiment platform, at the same time using LabSQL and Microsoft Access to data management, allowing it to imported to Matlab in mathematical analysis software for data analysis.In the design process, mechanical science research institutes in gansu province of automobile brake test bench for object, through the Labview software platform structures, friction testing machine temperature detection system, at the same time using ADO technology for connecting to the database and the Access, realize the temperature test system platform of parameterized, automation, greatly improves the efficiency and precision, has certain use value.Temperature testing system is established in the early part of the design, the overall plan, choose the appropriate sensor and data acquisition card, the design of hardware circuit. Software part through DAQ data acquisition card design of the main program and other subroutines. Through LabSQL database technology, the design of multi-channel real-time data acquisition system, for more than one collection point temperature, friction and alarm history records management, and establish the corresponding database. In the last stage, through the test data feedback the test system, with the analysis of the Matlab curve fitting toolbox, the reliability of the test system.Temperature testing system in the end, based on the collected data of example show that the use of this system can realize the collection of the temperature of the brake linings, and system easy to operate; Database operating system also implements the brake performance parameters of the analysis and management; Researchers can collect data combined with Matlab mathematical analysis software, based on the analysis, provide necessary data for automotive friction lining performance evaluation.
