In order to reduce production cost and improve the product quality and production efficiency, the paper researches some key links of the hard capsule production line and develops a new control system based on PLC, and finally makes product and manage automatically. Details are as follows:At first, the paper analyzes the development status of hard capsule production line at home and abroad and introduces production process crafts in detail. In order to solve some problems that the action of executive body needs to adjust and the alarms delay for some time, the angles of the encoder are used to control actuators and generate alarms. Finally the communication technology with encoder and PLC based on Modbus protocol is studied and achieved.In the light of the characteristics of precise positioning in dipping glue process, two servo control methods based on PLC are presented respectively:a MAP library method and a method by using EM253module. Then the hardware structure charts, software flow charts and interrelated parameters of the two methods are given in the paper. The control effect which uses EM253is better than another method by comparing the results.A temperature controller is designed based on Bang-Bang control algorithm and adaptive fuzzy PID control algorithm to control temperature of dry area, and then the simulations of the control approach are conducted. Results show that this method is superior to the conventional PID control and can meet the technology requirements of high control precision. The PLC program of the fuzzy adaptive PID control can be achieved by using function fitting method to instead of general look-up table method and also the program flow chart is provided. The visual configuration of the project is completed by using WinCC flexible, and the visual monitoring at production line running time is also achieved finally. It is convenient to display alarm, modify the parameters and manage users’ information with touch screen. At last, it is summarized the research work done in this paper and outlooks the application of fuzzy adaptive PID control in practice and multi-machine interconnected transparent factory technology.
