Frame Analysis On College Entrance Examination Reports (2003-2013) Of China Youth Daily

College Entrance Examination has become a most influential cultural event in China,and caused social and media attention since its recovery in1977. Thus, the media mirror, news framework, and the formation mechanism of the reports caused the author’s thinking. China Youth Daily is a representative media of the College Entrance Examination reports,which the target audience is Youth. In2003, due to the time alteration of the CEE, new institutional changes emerge. Therefore, the author tries to make a frame analysis of the newspaper reports on the CEE within ten years from2003until now.News framework is consisted of content, sources, reports tone and so on in news production field. By analyzing the CEE report texts of the China Youth Daily since2003, the author finds that its means to build the news frames are:First, content settings combined with service and opinion information, including highest ranking students or CEE economy; shaping the theme features with the penetrative illustration of the CEE issues, and build speaking of the conflicts between "test-based" and "education-based"; Second, news source selection based mainly on education management organizations, and experts, scholars, candidates and their parents’as subsidiary, Finally, construct fairness and justice as the core of the college entrance examination reports tone. From the integral construction of the CEE report frame, China Youth Daily shows a problem-oriented concept, balanced opinion expression, serious as well as active report style and other characteristics. Of course, it also has some deficiencies due to the conventional constraints of news production, the innovative inadequacy of reporters, and concept dislocation of talent evaluation, such as weak media function orientation, modeling report form, and one-sided candidate image.In the new media era of diversified dissemination subjects, multiplied information sources and personalized audience demand, CEE reports of China Youth Daily face great challenges. The main path of future development is to achieve full-media operation, focus on interaction of report and reception, to improve the ability of thematic planning and to enhance the depth of coverage.
