Research On TD-LTE Cellular Network Covering Planning And Performance

The full name of LTE is Long Time Evolution. Under the LTE technical standards, China government has made the TD-LTE wireless network standard. By the end of2013, TD-LTE was officially put into commercial operation. Under such background of a big market, a lot of TD-LTE network have been planned with the development of many construction works. As a result, the problem of improving coverage area and enhancing system utilization under limited spectrum and bandwidth resources which means that the interference between systems or in system should be eliminated has to be solved. What is more, the reduction of the equipment cost is also an important part of the task.The cellular network coverage planning which is based on the TD-LTE wireless network is studied in this essay. In the first part, the basic architecture of the TD-LTE and the technology of OFDM and MIMO are introduced and compared with the FDD system. In the second part, the parameters which are used in the basic planning process are elaborated based on wireless network coverage theory. In the third part, according to different scenes, the propagation models are established and the scale parameters are obtained through link simulation and link budget. In the forth part, the software which name is Atoll was used for the simulation in the covering planning area wireless network. The covering quality and performance parameters, such as RSRP and SINR, are analyzed with the results of the simulation. After the simulation, starting from the first factor encoding, neighborhood disturbance caused by analyzing and comparing the performance of various parameters of the wireless network coverage differences, and then optimize network coverage quality and contrast by adjusting the angle of the antenna and power and other parameters, and ultimately planning the overall objective.Simulation results for guidance TD-LTE radio network planning has some significance meaning and the analysis of the parameters can also serve as a reference in the wireless network optimization process.
