With these increasingly great changes and challenges which Internet applications have made to our traditional life style, the web design has to face with higher requirements from users. In terms of traditional developing process, designers design from their own perspectives instead of users’and try to present those brand new technologies in front of them. Unfortunately they ignore the users’technology level and their real needs, which makes users dislike and even unwilling to use the products as a consequence. Thus, the conception of user experience is becoming profound in designers’mind. This paper is aimed at proposing a set of development methods and process suitable for mixed type of web application to fulfill users’needs from their perspective. Whether the design is coincidence with users’needs is highly considered in every process in order to let the website make users feel good, convenient, smooth, and bring them positive user experience. Through studying the five elements of user experience, analyzing the relationship among the elements and searching the combination of navigation design and interface design, merge them in terms of conception, method and technology.Under the background of concerning theories and the actual manipulation, the definition of mixed type of web application and the six design phases for user experience of mixed type of web application are proposed. What’s more, double submit problem is eliminated due to the combination of navigation design and interface design. And this idea is verified during the development of a research program.Users’needs are not accessories which have no connection with web’s function, but the important aspects to influence the web design. The idea proposed in this paper can design a web mixed with function and information which will provide users with not only required function, but also free access to information. And users will acquire a positive user experience.
