With the development of science, a variety of high technology and new vitality are injected into the textile industry continuously. Throughout the international textile industry, new textile technology and instruments continue to emerge, so that textile testing technology and testing instruments also develop rapidly.Although the degree of automation of the textile testing instruments increases fast, the output data of most instruments is processed manually. Some instruments can connect to the printer to print data, but printed data are inconvenient to save and process. With the gradual expansion of the laboratory workload, the demand for laboratory instruments’network data collection has become more and more intense. If the wired networking method is used, the length of line is limited and the wiring is also troublesome, thereby the wired network is not suitable for large textile testing laboratory. So the wireless networking method for instruments’data automatic collection with centralized storage and process is an inevitable direction.This thesis is focused on the textile laboratory work platform, using current advanced networking technology, computer technology and database technology to design an automatic data acquisition system based on wireless network. The main work of this thesis are:First, this thesis selected ZigBee wireless networking solution after comparing the features and applications of several short-range wireless communications technology and finished the programming of ZigBee node. The main contents of the program included networking, network management, data reception and upload for coordinator node, textile testing data collection and transmission for terminal nodes, data transmission for router node; Second, this thesis designed the data acquisition software of master computer by LabVIEW, the software consisted of three modules, namely user login module, operation selecting module and the instrument module. User login module was used to identify and manage the user, operation selecting module was used to select the desired data acquisition instrument module by clicking the corresponding button, and instrument module refered to the program and interface of data acquisition, monitoring and storing into database; Third, this thesis designed a database for the textile testing laboratory using SQL Server. According to the actual needs, this thesis has finished building database tables, establishing constraints, creating relationship diagrams and views and realized data comparison function, providing a complete and reliable method for the management of data.The development of this acquisition system will greatly improve the efficiency of textile testing and promote the liberation of the labor force, providing an effective solution for the transform of automation of textile testing laboratory.
