With the development of information technology, and a sharp increase in theamount of information, the requirements of data collection and processing becomemore stringent, information systems updating rapidly, so businesses are acceleratingthe inside information system construction and maintenance. In high-speed dataaccumulated period of changes, reform of state-owned enterprises’ informationsystems will face severe challenges.COFCO Biochemical Zhaodong Company has already implemented a numberof information systems projects since its establishment, such as CIMS system andthe wave of the financial system. With changes in the growth of company size andmarket environment, the existing information systems’ functions have been seemedrelatively simple, and lack integration and data sharing, along with a variety ofrevealed information drawbacks. In order to strengthen the construction ofinformation systems, the company introduced ERP information systems. ERP systemcan make the overall planning of the manufacture, sale, transport and warehousingservices for COFCO Biochemical Zhaodong Company, through the integration of thecompany’s existing resources to achieve the dynamic pre-control goals of thecompany’s management. The company has already successfully implemented ERPinformation systems under the guidance of the UF ERP project management, and ina short period to run on the line, they do a great deal of training and otherpreparations in preparation for the implementation. But the applying of the ERPinformation system only temporarily satisfy the needs of the company’s informationsystems, since the demand is always changing, it requires information systems to be synchronized with the company’s business needs, otherwise the system will enter theinformation life-cycle recession.First, we present the background and significance of the research, and putforward the method employed in this study and the main contents of the study.Second, we analyze the basic situation and the present situation of company’sinformation systems in COFCO Zhaodong company, founding that the existinginformation systems separate mutually, and subsystems cannot share data andinformation from each other, what resulting in the formation of information isolatedislands. This paper excavates the real needs of COFCO Zhaodong Company’s ERPinformation system implement through the above analysis. Thirdly, According to theanalysis of company’s needs for information systems, this paper further proposes thenecessary conditions of ERP information system implement from the ERP selection,ERP operations training, business process reengineering, and implementation steps inCOFCO Biochemical Zhaodong Company. Finally, it points out that ERP informationsystem can optimize the company’s existing business processes, and makes analysisand evaluation of the ERP system implementation results by professional evaluationmetrics and evaluation system.This paper carries out analysis for the implementation of COFCO BiochemicalZhaodong Company’s ERP information system with the theory of informationsystems and business management. And investigate the optimization of businessprocesses by ERP information system, as well as practical measures to update andmaintain ERP information systems through personal experience and field operationsresearch. ERP information system’s application has changed the traditionalprocurement, sales, inventory and financial management and other business processesfundamentally, and has made the company’s management step up to a new level fromfunctional management to process management.COFCO Biochemical ZhaodongCompany strives to make the ERP information system provide decision support for senior leadership to the greatest extent, and then improve the company’s competitivesoft power.
