With the development of Internet technology and streaming media technology, streaming media has become the main body of the communications business. Streaming services need to provide end-to-end quality assurance, a high demand for infrastructure. The streaming media transmission networks based on CDN is specialized built up for streaming media business, which can high-quality, large-scale distribution of rich multimedia content. Because of distributed services, network congestion and transmission delay is solved in the traditional network. However, streaming media transport networks is flawed in the local load balancing; the request cans not be average allocate to the streaming proxy server, so that the scalability of the entire network becomes very poor. The causes of this problem is current load balancing algorithm cannot achieve precise resources control, in order to solve this problem,We Put forward the streaming media load balancing algorithm based on local resource.The basic design idea of this algorithm is:when the network resource is rich, the content of request is the main basis to judge, and the status of network resources is auxiliary, quickly assign the request. When the network resource is lack, assign requests based on network resources, improve resource utilization, reduce the waiting time of user.In order to implement this algorithm, we first definite the calculation method for streaming media network local resources and the weight, and gives the criteria of the resource situation. Second, we design dynamic feedback load balancing algorithm, the algorithm is very good, which not only guarantee the response time, and improve the accuracy of the load balancing, adapt to lower load. the signal-driven dynamic load balancing algorithm that can achieve an exact match of task load and resources, to maximize the use of existing network resources, adapt to high load. Finally we proved the superiority of the algorithm in a simulation environment.
