Today, people fully enjoy the benefits of modern society. The requirements of product become diversity and strict. It is a great challenge to the enterprise. In the fierce market competition, how to produce fast and flexibility becomes a target which enterprises pursue. To solve this problem, mixed flow assembly line arises. Mixed flow assembly line can make full use of physical and human resources. Similar products can be produced on mixed flow assembly line simultaneously. It improves production efficiency and reduces costs. It is widely used in the manufacturing industry. This paper also summarizes the related theoretical knowledge including the definition of mixed flow assembly line, the characteristics and operation of scheduling. Now enterprise arranges production according to customer orders. It is a problem how to meet the production requirement and make order finish on time simultaneously. This article studies the scheduling problem of mixed flow assembly line. Production sequence directly affects the efficiency and quality of production.On the basis of the domestic and foreign related literature about scheduling problem of mixed flow assembly line, the paper sorts out the theory and analyses research trends in the future. First of all, before determining the best sequence of products, need to confirm the priority of orders according critical ratio of each order, degree of product innovation and customer. This paper comes up with four objective functions containing minimum utility cost, idle cost, setup cost and production rate variation cost which have been considered previous. Minimum operator error cost and tardiness cost are newly presented. Using weighting method to set up mathematical model in order to let more important orders completed as soon as possible. Then GA-SA hybrid algorithm is used to solve the mathematical model. Finally, design an experiment to prove the effectiveness of the model and algorithm proposed.This paper considers an element of customer order and the actual production requirements. It enriches the theory system of mixed flow assembly line that designing model and algorithm to solve the sequence problem. And the research directs practical production.
