With the development of satellite communications technology, applications are not only limited to communications satellites for military purposes.The demand for commercial satellite communication quality and efficiency, but also to a higher space technology requirements. DVB-S2is proposed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, ideally suited for multimedia satellite communications, it not only has high flexibility, but also has the ability to provide a variety of services to enrich the communication satellite functionality, which is the trend in the development of communication satellites.DVB-S2standard, not only gave a detailed account of its modulation, encoding, frame structure, but also for its wide range of services provided by the application is described in detail. This is also in accordance with the world standards for research and testing, our most current users are still using the first generation of DVB standards-based receiver, DVB-S2receiver range has not been universal.In this thesis, the development trend of the actual project tasks and technology requirements for DVB-S2synchronization techniques following research aspects DVB-S2super-frame structure, coding and modulation analysis, the basic theory of phase-locked technique based on the analysis, carrier synchronization based on the analysis of basic theory, basic theory of timing synchronization based on the analysis. This paper lists the square loop algorithm, costas loop algorithm, M&M algorithm, maximum likelihood estimation algorithm, and compared the pros and cons of each algorithm and its application in the application environment. For multi-mode DVB-S2modulation, demodulation paper presents a general structure that the quadrature downconversion performed arcsine phase, through the elimination of the auxiliary judgment ring modulation symbols extraction phase error. This applies not only to MPSK demodulation structure, but also for APSK demodulation. Finalization carrier synchronization and code synchronization logic implementation and simulation technology, based DVB-S2demodulator digital hardware design and functional verification platform FPGA digital signal processing, digital demodulator system performance testing, and test results are given to the system.
