An effective way to achieve a small and intelligent billet tracking system is applied advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology to automatic billet tracking at present. In this thesis, target tracking system based on ADSP-BF547was studied in detail.Firstly, the application and significance of online billet tracking for steelmaking were reviewed in this thesis. The general scheme of hardware system with ADSP-BF547and a complete system circuit schematics were proposed based on the DSP and DSP processor technology. Taking the transmission line theory and signal integrity theory into account, from the start stacking design and impedance control, the DDR module topology, termination resistor as well as crosstalk between signals and static timing are analyzed for pre-simulation calculation, then the long-distance constraint rules are applied to guiding the PCB layout. Taking the power integrity theory into account, the DC voltage drop of the critical power network is studied, then the decoupling capacitor strategy is applied to guiding the PCB layout, next the preliminary design work of high-speed PCB has been completed; After layout, the termination resistor and the timing of key signals are tested again, what’s more, the actual timing margin and the correctness of the PCB design are verified. Finally, the software of the tracking system is designed, which includes background subtraction, gray value transformation, Kalman tracking as well as target information collection, and the experiental results are given.
