The appearance of Software Radio technology is the third revolution in the communication domain after the developments from immobile communication to mobile communication and from analog communication to digital communication. It can meet the need of the mobile user to join by make full use of the modern micro-electronics technology -, digital communication technology and software technology. It's theoretical significant to build a Software Radio hardware platform, which is also supposed to have much practicability.The general situation of the software radio and one of its key technologies: digital IF is introduced in this paper. And base the theory, designs and actualizes a hardware experiment platform, then the hardware and software debug is detailed described. The platform used a large-scale programmable logic device Virtex-4, a high performance floating digital signal processor TMS32C6711D, and a high speed MCU as core, with the feature universal and flexibility. It can configure the parameter of digital up/down conversion, baseband signal code/decode mode and modulate/demodulate mode with software update, fulfill the needs of various research projects.
